Two years ago, I made a paper mache dragon. I love him. If you want more info on making your own check out The Gourmet Paper Mache - Dan Reeder. Amazing work.
After I made this guy I kept thinking I wanted to recreate my dragon in cake. Then I as I was gathering all my stuff to head to CookieCon this year I thought, why not a dragon cookie!
I made an orange dragon Glenda GoodWitchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18004194153777863339noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6982629900336897232.post-43432548907047648292018-07-16T09:41:00.000-05:002018-07-16T09:41:50.818-05:00Shell Santa
Getting ready for a beachy Christmas!
While cleaning out some boxes I found a cute Santa ornament of my mom's. I immediately thought it would be a great addition to a beachy Christmas. Here is my finished sugar one next to the ornament.
For this one I used a Turritella type shell. Any size will work.
I used ivory AmeriColor that was diluted with everclear (or clear alcohol Glenda GoodWitchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18004194153777863339noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6982629900336897232.post-46150910617153765112018-07-03T08:00:00.000-05:002018-07-10T10:25:29.809-05:00Tooled Leather Book
Create a great book with our tooled leather texture mat!
Roll out paste and use texture mat to emboss the design. Pull mat off fondant to avoid stretching the design. Cut to size and place on cake.
Use a dowel to get the valley near the spine.
Using a combination of sponges and brushes add the color into the recesses of the design.

Chocolate shells
Getting great looks shells is easy to do.
Start by melting white chocolate of choice. Then finely chop some colors and milk chocolate. For these shells I did blue, green, purple and some milk chocolate.
Add in a selection of the chopped chocolate bits. Do a quick stir and add to your piping bag.
Pipe the mixture into your molds.

Quick and easy heart cookies to make for someone special.
I couldn't decide between the red and the white background. Which do you like?

Check out our new half orb mold done in CakePlay isomalt!
After you pour in the isomalt quickly take a heated mini palette knife and run it over the mold to take off excess isomalt. This is mostly needed for the very small cavities as they take less than a single drop of isomalt.
The easiest way to get them out of the mold is to flip it over and peel back the mold. &Glenda GoodWitchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18004194153777863339noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6982629900336897232.post-56727523471903803692017-09-12T08:30:00.000-05:002017-09-12T08:30:09.532-05:00To the Moon and back....This new texture mat will help create a cake that is out of this world!

Check out our new half orb mold done in DECOgel by Icing Images!
The only colors I had on hand were red, purple and clear. So, the yellow, orange, green and blue were done using AmeriColor gel colors with the clear DECOgel.
It was pretty easy to pour the DECOgel into the cavities and then use a palette knife to swipe off any excess.
